Inspiring

Inspiring speeches are simply stories about life. The speakers I have been inspired by are those willing to lay their life bare for us. To share things that have touched, changed and shaped them.

What I have found is that the most ordinary seeming people have the most extraordinary stories within them.

I feel the same! Not everyone has been lucky enough to play an instrument at the Opera House, or to speak at the PNG Medical Symposium, or to meet the local women and hear their stories as a result, or to be able to share those stories with the High Commissioner.

Now as I realise what I’ve done and experienced it is an honour to share those moments with others.

As an inspiring speaker I presented twice for Women Journeying – the first was about my experiences with the women in PNG and the second about ‘The Journey Within’.

More recently I won through to the Division Contest of The Toastmasters International Speech Contest. A contest for an inspiring speech. The speech I ran with was “Smile High”.
